The Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) is seeking a dynamic, self-starting, organized individual to join our collaborative team. The main objective of this position is to recruit international participants to our English language programs. The Outreach Associate coordinates efforts to initiate and implement recruitment and marketing initiatives with a high level of confidentiality, judgment, and leadership for TIEC. As the face of our organization, the Outreach Associate will be able to exercise independent judgment, use discretion with matters of significance, and have exceptional facilitation, presentation, communication, and organizational skills. The majority of work encompasses the coordination of activities to implement international recruitment and marketing initiatives, and administrative and analytical duties covering both operational and program-oriented research, analysis, reporting, and evaluation.
Reporting to TIEC’s Program Manager for the Texas Intensive English Program (TIEP), the Outreach Associate is focused on student recruitment and marketing. The Outreach Associate will perform a full range of analytical work related to identifying enrollment and marketing strategies. Major duties include analyzing markets and related demographics along with developing internal/external strategies, business models, partnerships, and agreements. Work requires applying a theoretical knowledge base to develop recommendations and conclusions to implement new approaches and processes.
The individual must be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with various deadlines and priorities and must feel comfortable exercising autonomy and taking ownership/initiative of strategic planning and implementation of outreach efforts. Success will be measured through student and program numbers, as well as the ability to evaluate and adjust efforts based on analytics and success. The Outreach Associate must be flexible, feel comfortable cold calling and engaging potential clients through networking events, in-person meetings, as well as have an understanding of social media, email outreach, and protocols working across cultures and at various organizational levels. Fluency in Spanish and/or other foreign languages is a highly preferred asset.
Essential Job Functions:
70% Outreach - Produce outreach content and strategies through event promotion, business outreach, local international group engagement, conference presentations, Zoom/Skype meetings, webinars, alumni leverage, and more.
Serve as a TIEC ambassador and embrace our unique educational model, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, customer service, and compliance.
Accurately and completely explain TIEC educational programs, expected outcomes, and student services to prospective students, the education community, local business community, and internal/external clients.
Assist in additional outreach based initiatives on behalf of TIEC .
Execute a confident and professional strategy for both passive and active outreach for all TIEC products and services.
Produce outreach content and strategies through email campaigns, newsletters, website, radio ads, social media, and more.
Conduct a minimum of 5 recruitment activities per month. A recruitment activity is a networking event, webinar, conference, etc.
Coordinate and participate in monthly webinars based on provided outreach strategy with a live Q&A to engage potential clients and interact with the community.
Frequent evaluation and analysis of outreach efforts and offer recommendations and suggestions.
Create reports on outreach metrics, including conversion rates.
Assist with organizing promotional events.
Monitor competitors’ outreach activities and provide regular updates.
Processing immigration paperwork for student visas
Support international education programs with planning, and implementation
Managing daily administrative tasks including inventory/supplies, managing book orders, sitting at the reception desk of the organization, answering phones and emails.
Assistance with coordination of event logistics.
Creating welcome packets and materials
Answering inquiries via phone, email and in-person

TIEC seeks an Outreach Associate to help plan and implement our outreach and relationship building for its programs. For this role, you should understand the full range of networking and building contacts, as well as be familiar with ways to analyze market needs and customers’ behavior. You should also be able to create spreadsheets and analyze quantitative data to interpret ROI and KPI metrics. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, extended hours, and overnight travel (especially during peak seasons).
IDEAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of professional experience in sales, outreach, digital marketing, or a related field, as well as have a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applicants with an understanding of international affairs through working, traveling, living, or studying abroad are preferred, as well as individuals with foreign language skills (Spanish and/or Mandarin strongly preferred).
A master’s degree may substitute for two years of professional experience. The Outreach Associate will have excellent organizational and communications skills and a strong aptitude to learn concepts and structures quickly. The Outreach Associate must deliver professional logistical and operational support while also coordinating on-going projects in a fast-paced environment. The Outreach Associate needs to be collaborative, self-starting and able to prioritize effectively.
