Airport Transportation

The major airport for the Austin area is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). Taxi, shuttle, and bus companies provide transportation from the airport without a prior reservation. Taxis are located just outside the baggage claim area, near door # 2. SuperShuttle has a desk in the baggage claim area near carousel #1. You can buy a ticket for a SuperShuttle van there.

Typical travel time between the airport and the central Austin area where TIEP is located is 20 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day and the day of the week. A taxi to central Austin costs approximately $25, and SuperShuttle costs approximately $15.
